Tommy Marshall Jones, Sr.
Tommy Marshall Jones, Sr., 83, died of recent illness on June 18, 2023, at Salibsury hospital. He was born June 24, 1939, in Salisbury, Rowan County.
He was preceded in death by parents Grady M. and Jessie (Corn) Jones and brother Terry H. Jones.
Tommy graduated from Granite Quarry High School, Class of 1957. He married Catherine Carol Honbarrier Jones (deceased) and had four children, Wendy (Jones) Grimes, husband Jeff; Lisa (Jones) Stiller, husband Robby; Gina (Jones) Bumgarner, husband Russell.
He was predeceased by son Tommy (Mark) and daughter-in-law Suzette Jones. Tommy is also predeceased by his second wife, Emma Morgan Jones. Emma has a daughter, Amanda Hans, husband Bill. Emma died Jan. 8, 2021 in Supply, NC. They retired to Holden Beach and loved to fish.
Tommy and Emma had eight grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Grimes; Ashton and David Pryor; Garrison and Daniel Jones, Brittney Smith and Vivian Hans. Also they had six great-grandchildren, Madison Grimes; Margot May; Amйlie, Heloise Pryor, Tynleigh Jones, and Nathaniel Smith.
Arrangements: A celebration of life for both Tommy and Emma Jones will be held Saturday June 24 at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Faith. Family will receieve guests at 12:15 p.m.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Sharon Methodist Church in Holden Beach, NC or Faith Batist Church in Faith, NC.
