Robert Lee Troutman, 73, of Gold Hill, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
He was born September 28, 1945, in Rowan County to the late Chall Troutman and Margie Troutman. He attended Rowan County Schools and retired from Cannon Mills Plant No. 8 in China Grove. Mr. Troutman enjoyed spending time at the beach and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Troutman.
Robert is survived by his wife Mary Troutman, whom he married August 31, 1968; daughter, Laura Poss of Cleveland, OH; sisters, Ann Barr of Kannapolis and Mary Dennis of Albemarle; brothers, Junior Troutman of Salisbury and Freddie Troutman of Gold Hill; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018, in the chapel of Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, or the Parkinson's Foundation.
