Jossie Poole Lyerly, 90, Salisbury, died Tuesday (Oct. 5, 2004) at her home.
Born Oct. 14, 1913, in Rowan County, Mrs. Lyerly was a daughter of the late Theodore Sylvester and Salomie Irene Lentz Poole. She was educated in the Rowan County schools.
A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, she was formerly employed with R.W. Norman's and operated Lyerly Grocery Store.
Her husband, Lee Luther Lyerly, died Nov. 2, 1993; and a daughter, Brenda L. Davis, died Sept. 17, 2002.
Survivors include son George C. Lyerly, Albemarle; brother Buford Poole, New London; sister Carrie Earnhardt, Rockwell; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. David Ridenhour. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Memorials: St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund.

Jossie Poole Lyerly, 90, Salisbury, died Tuesday (Oct. 5, 2004) at her home.
