Cleona Lambert Tucker
Cleona Lambert Tucker, age 102 of Albemarle, N.C. passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 in the Trinity Place, Albemarle, N.C. Her service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the St. Martins Lutheran Church, Albemarle, N.C. with the Rev. Don Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
Mrs. Tucker was born May 8, 1912 in Stanly County, N.C. to the late Titus R. Lambert and Mollie Lowder Lambert. She was a graduate of Oakboro High School and Rowan Community College School of Nursing. She was a retired employee of Stanly Memorial Hospital and a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher and an avid gardener. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.
She was married to the late Roy Alexander Tucker. One son James Lambert Tucker and one daughter, Mary Ellen Tucker, three sisters, Carrie Lee Lambert, Odessa L. Hatley, and Beatrice L. Lambert all preceded her in death.
