Pauline Scott
Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Hoffner Scott, 82 of Rockwell, passed away March 9, 2008 at the Northeast Medical Center. Mrs. Scott was born July 20, 1925 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Victor L. Hoffner and Gaither Stoner Hoffner. She was a 1942 graduate of Rockwell High School, and was retired from Celanese, working in the spin draw and winding dept.
Mrs. Scott was a member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, and was active in all phases of church work as long as her health permitted.
Survivors are her husband, Mr. William Gene Scott, whom she married July 5, 1946. Two sons, Ricky Scott of Hickory, NC, and Gary Scott of Morganton, NC. One daughter, Beverly S. Peck, of Rockwell. One brother, Jim Hoffner of Rockwell, and two sisters, Doris Holloway of China Grove, and Willie Honeycutt of Statesville. Grandchildren are Stacy, Marc, Zach, Zeb, and Laura Scott, and Samantha Fowler. Two Great Grandchildren are Hunter Scott, and Cheyanne Hale.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Joseph A. Miller, Pastor, with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday.
