William Gene Scott
Mr. William Gene Scott, 85 of Rockwell, NC passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Genesis of Salisbury. Mr. Scott was born on October 18, 1925 in Rowan County, NC son of the late Glenn W. Scott and Lottie Sifford Scott. Mr. Scott was educated in the Cabarrus County Schools and was employed by Widenhouse Motors as a Service Manager. Mr. Scott was a life long member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents he is preceeded in death by his wife Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Hoffner Scott.
He is survived by his sons, Mr. Ricky Scott and wife Jackie of Hickory, NC, Mr. Gary Scott and wife Beverly of Morganton, NC, daughter Beverly S. Peck and husband David of Rockwell, NC, grandchildren, Marc Scott, Stacy Scott, Zachary Scott, Zebulon Scott and wife Angie, Laura Scott, Samantha Fowler, great grandchildren Hunter Scott and Cheyanne Hale.
The funeral will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 19 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Concord, conducted by the Rev. Joseph A. Miller, pastor. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 19 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Concord.
