ALBEMARLE -- Betty Yarbrough Huneycutt, 58, Albemarle, formerly of New London, died Wednesday (July 10, 2002) at Forest Oaks Health Care.
Born Oct. 13, 1943, in Davidson County, Mrs. Huneycutt was a daughter of Lela Yarbrough Young, Lexington, and the late Willie O. Yarbrough. She was educated in the Davidson County schools.
A Baptist, she worked with various clothing manufacturing plants.
Her husband, Joe D. Huneycutt, died March 7, 2001.
Survivors include daughter Misti Key Shue, Albemarle; stepfather Paul Young, Lexington; stepsons Chris Huneycutt, Finger, and Randy J. Huneycutt, Albemarle; stepdaughter Melanie H. Baker, New London; brother Larry Yarbrough, Lexington; and nine grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Powles Funeral Home chapel, Rockwell, conducted by the Rev. Alvin Melton, pastor, Plyer Baptist Church. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.
Visitation: 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Melanie H. Baker, New London.
