Mary Gibson Barger
Mary Ellen Gibson Barger 87, of Faith passed away on October 28, 2015 at Autumn Care of Salisbury. Mary was born on February 25, 1928 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late George and Zulia Lefler Gibson.
Mary was a life long member of Faith Lutheran Church, she was active in Sunday School and WELCA when she was able. She loved going camping with her husband before his passing.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Craig Leroy Barger; her daughter, Joyce Barger Canup; and her sister, Peggy Earl.
Mary is survived by her son, Mike Barger and his wife Joyce of Salisbury; grandchildren, Rebecca Canup Towell, Wayne Canup, Jimmy Burch, Leslie Trexler, and Frank Burch. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30th from 1 to 2 pm at the Faith Lutheran Church Parlor.
The funeral will be on Friday, October 30th at 2 pm in the Faith Lutheran Church Parlor, conducted by Rev. William Ketchie, Interim Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Ms. Mary may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Debt Reduction Fund PO Box 669 Faith NC 28041.
