Mr. Craig Leroy Barger, 87 of Faith passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Autumn Care of Salisbury. Mr. Barger was born November 26, 1923 in Rowan County to the late John Coleman and Nettie Rodgers Barger. He attended Rowan County Schools and since 1960 was self-employed as owner of Barger Septic Service. Mr. Barger was a life member of Faith Lutheran Church and loved camping.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Barger was preceeded in death by his daughter, Joyce Barger Canup, who passed away March 31, 2000.
Mr. Barger is survived by his wife, Mary Gibson Barger whom he married in August 1945; his son Mike Barger and wife Joyce of Salisbury; 2 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 2-3 PM in the Family Life Center at Faith Lutheran Church.
The service will follow at 3 PM on Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Clarence Sifford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Improvement Fund.
