Notes for Elizabeth Ann “Libby“ Fraley
Elizabeth Fraley Bame

Mrs. Elizabeth Fraley Bame, 79, of China Grove passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018 at Liberty Commons in Salisbury.

Mrs. Bame was born on March 13, 1939 in Faith. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Wade Fraley and Faye Barger. Her husband, John Patterson Bame preceded her in death along with her brother, Dwight Fraley and sister, Nell Fraley Emery.

Libby, to those her knew her, went to Rowan County Schools and was a retired preschool teacher. She spent over 30 years lovingly caring for the children she taught at First United Methodist Church of China Grove Preschool. You can find lives she touched throughout this community. She also shared a great deal of pride in the children she nurtured at the South Rowan Academy Afterschool program where she served for a number of years. She had a great love for children that was apparent in everything she did. She loved to cook and bake. In earlier years, Libby also enjoyed crafting and basket weaving with her dear friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jonathan Todd Bame (Marisol) of Severn, Md. and Gregory Scott Bame of Rockwell; and her step-granddaughter, Gabriela Rivas De Leon of Maryland.

Service: The funeral service honoring Mrs. Bame will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, China Grove, at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Gould with burial to follow at West Lawn Cemetary.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove.
