Roana Agner Bost
Roana Agner Bost, 89, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021.
She was born February 6, 1932, in Salisbury to the late Edgar Luther Agner and Letha Peeler Agner. Mrs. Bost was a 1950 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and attended Salisbury Commercial College, Salisbury Business College, and obtained her real estate license from Rowan Technical College. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she served on church council and was a member of the handbell choir. Mrs. Bost was a member of Faith American Legion Auxiliary where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was the CEO of Banks Bost Construction.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bost was preceded in death by her husband, Banks Oren Bost, whom she married November 16, 1952; daughters, Beth Lackey and Cindy Begbie; grandson, Chad Bost; brother, John Henry Agner; and sisters, Rebecca Agner Hinkle and Edna Agner Phillips.
She is survived by her son, Brent Bost of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Jordan, Shelby, and Tyler Bost, Christina Joyce and husband, Derek, Luke Richards and wife, Irina, and Keith Begbie and wife, Sarah; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM on Friday, December 31, in the family life center gathering room at Faith Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, in the church, with Rev. Rob Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
