Harold A. Deal
FAITH - Harold Alexander Deal, 82, of Faith, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at his residence.
Born June 25, 1924, in Rowan County, Mr. Deal was a son of the late Lula Brown Deal and Harvey Mack Deal. Educated in Rowan County schools, he was a crane operator with Wagoner's Construction Co.
Mr. Deal was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Homer Holshouser Sunday School Class. He enjoyed fishing at the coast, working in the yard and NASCAR Racing.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Leazer Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Miriam Kuykendall deal, whom he married Nov. 20, 1943; son Harold Keith Deal and wife Terri of Faith; brother Marcus Buck Deal of Faith and Claude Cotton Deal and wife Edith of Concord; grandchild Jennifer Shepherd and husband Wayne; and great-grandchildren Breanna, McKenzie and Dalton Shepherd.
Service: 2 pm Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Shoaf, the Rev. Clyde Yates and the Rev. J.B. Gibson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight at Lyerly Funeral Home. The family is also receiving friends all other times at the home of Keith Deal, Faith.
