Worth Monroe Fink

Worth Monroe Fink, 87, of Faith entered the church triumphant on Sunday, December 21, 2014. Mr. Fink was born April 6, 1927, in Faith, a son of the late Harvey Boyden and Fannie Maude Brown Fink.

Worth was educated at Faith School and retired from Cannon Mills Plant #1 in Kannapolis after working 49 years. A lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church, he was Church Treasurer for over 20 years, former council member, member of the Lutheran Brotherhood and Lutheran Men in Mission, Men's Bible Class, Faith Volunteer Fire Department and until his wife's death delivered Meals on Wheels.

Mr. Worth received the Faith Civitan Senior of Year for 2014. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and gardening. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clarene Harwood Fink, five brothers, and one sister

Survivors include sons, Rev. Ronald W. Fink and wife, Swannetta, of Cherryville and Rev. Kenneth W. Fink and wife, Vicki, of Monroe; brother, Larry Fink and wife, Carleen, of Faith; grandchildren, Susan Fink Shell and husband, Scott, of Cary, John C. Fink of Lincolnton, Matthew W. Fink and wife, Adrienne, of Cayce, SC; and great grandchild Maxwell Shell of Cary.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10:30 til 11:45 AM Friday in the Family Life Center at Faith Lutheran Church. The service will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 26, 2014, conducted by Rev. Bill Ketchie, interim pastor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Debt Reduction Fund, P. O. Box 669, Faith, NC 28041.
