Margaret Corriher Shook

MOUNT ULLA —Margaret Corriher Shook, 79, 3170 Bear Poplar Road, died Sunday (Nov. 19, 2000) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness.

Born July 24, 1921, in Rowan County, Mrs. Shook was a daughter of the late John A. and Mae Heglar Corriher. She was a graduate of Landis High School. A Tupperware salesperson for 21 years, she was also employed for the N.C. Lutheran Home for 10 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bear Poplar.

Survivors include husband Melvin C. Shook, whom she married Aug. 8, 1942; son Bobby C. Shook, Mansfield, Ohio; daughter Bonnie S. Myers, Cleveland; brother Marvin Corriher, Hollins, Va.; sister Mildred C. Goodman, Mooresville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bear Poplar, conducted by the Rev. Milbert E. Kurtz, minister. Burial, church cemetery.

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 tonight, Summersett Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home.
