Mildred Treece Trexler

Mildred Treece Trexler. 75, of Richfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 3, 2012, surrounded by her family at Autumn Care of Salisbury. Mrs. Trexler was born on September 22, 1936 in Rowan County a daughter of the late Emma Lou Hill Treece and Grady McGee Treece.

Educated in the Rowan County Schools, Mrs. Trexler was a member of Wyatt's Grove Baptist Church. She loved her church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Mrs. Trexler was a very beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Odis Treece, five sisters, Ruby Kluttz, Dorothy Blalock Head, Helen Anderson, Gladys Hartman and Ethel Vanhoy, son-in-law, Zeb Perry Young.

Survivors include her husband, Carr "CW" Trexler who she married June 16, 1951, two daughters, Carolyn T. Young of Salisbury and Vickie T. Yow of Richfield, two grandsons, Jonathan Sheppard and wife, Shannon, of Salisbury and Justin Sheppard of Salisbury; step grandson Clayton Joe Young and wife, Julie, of Hickory; two great grandsons, Levi and Max; two step great grandchildren; two brothers, Luther "Bud" Treece and Charles "Charlie" Treece both of Salisbury; two sisters, Marylou Bowers of Kannapolis and Lillie Morgan of Salisbury; and very close friend that she thought of as a grandson, Darin Williams, also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The Family will be at the Powles Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2012 prior to funeral services.

Services: Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Wednesday at Powles Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joe Black, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church and Rev. Todd Galloway, pastor of Centerview Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wyatt's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Family would like to thank all the staff at Autumn Care of Salisbury for all of their love, compassion and support during our Mother's stay. A special thanks to her Doctor Ronnie Barrier.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Powles funeral Home or to the Cemetery Fund Wyatt's Grove Baptist Church.
