Patricia K. Mullis Paolella, 59, of 106 Crawford St., East Orange, N.J., formerly of Albemarle, died at 3:42 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006, in Stanly Regional Medical Center.
Services will be held at a later date.
Born Sept. 16, 1946, in Albemarle, she was a daughter of Robert W. and Merle Frick Mullis of Albemarle.
She was a teacher at South Stanly High School and had worked at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in East Orange, N.J.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Paolella of East Orange, N.J.; a daughter, Amy Paolella of East Orange, N.J.; a sister, Bobbie Hallik of Albemarle; and a brother, Joe Mullis of Pace, Fla.
Arrangements are by Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

Mrs. Paolella died on Friday at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle, NC at the age of 59. She was born in Albemarle, NC where she lived until moving to East Orange, NJ over 33 years ago.
She graduated Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, NC with a bachelor degree in History and Education.
She worked as a school teacher at South Stanly High School, Albemarle, NC for 2 years then she worked for the United States Government as a Procurement Specialist for the US Army out of Fort Monmouth, NJ and Frankford Arsenal in PA for a total of 5 years before becoming a teacher again in 1989 until the present at St. Joseph Catholic School, East Orange, NJ.
Beloved wife for 33 years of Richard, Proud mother of Amy Paolella of East Orange, cherished daughter of Robert and Merle Mullis of Abermarle, NC, dear sister of Bobbie Hallik of Albemarle, NC and Joe Mullis of Pace, Fl, Sister in law of Connie Wilson, Sarah Buglione, Josephine Denicola, Nicholas Paolella and Angelo Paolella, Jr.
