Richard Paolella, 82, of East Orange, N.J., passed from this life on Aug. 25, 2011 at home. Visitation will be held at the Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry St., Orange, N.J. 07050 on Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, East Orange.
Mr. Paolella was born in Orange, N.J., and was a lifelong resident of East Orange, N.J. He was a graduate of Upsala College and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as an Army engineer for the United States Army at Fort Monmouth, N.J., for over 35 years and was a member of the US Army Quad A organization.
The loving husband of the late Patricia (nee Mullis), he was the loving father of Amy Paolella of East Orange; dear brother of Nicholas Paolella, Sarah Buglione, Connie Wilson, Angelo Paolella Jr. and Josephine Denicola, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
