ROCKWELL - Pearl Mae Jones Boger, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

Mrs. Boger, 98, was born Nov. 10, 1909 in Union County. She was the daughter of the late Lillie Benton Jones and John Alvie Jones.

Mrs. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rowe Boger, whom she married on June 4, 1938. Mr. Boger, who was a former Mayor of Rockwell, died July 12, 1998. Also preceding her in death were four sisters, Lura Jones Derrick, Ethel J. Helms, Faye (Sukie) J. Ferguson and Beulah J. Coan; three brothers, Neil Jones, Bill Jones, Bruce Jones.

Mrs. Pearl retired from Cannon Mills Plant #7 in Salisbury to become a homemaker. She was the oldest member of St. Luke's Reformed Church, Salisbury, life membership in the Church Women of the UCC Southern Conference, life member of BPO Elks Club, Lodge 699, member of East Rowan Branch YMCA, Rockwell Senior Citizens, Young at Heart Senior Citizens, Rufty Holmes Senior Citizens, East Rowan Public Library, and TLC sponsored by Powles Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter, Alice Panther Cauble of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Darlene C. Thompson of Kure Beach, Linda Kay Eller and husband, Max, of Rockwell, Charles R. Cauble and wife, Betty, of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Bradley D. Treece and wife Michelle, of Salisbury, Jonathon M. Treece and Elizabeth, of Salisbury, Wendy Diggs and husband, David, of Rockwell, Traci Williams and husband, Stacy, of Rockwell, Kevin Cauble and wife, Michelle, of Salisbury, Christy C. Gilbeau of Wilmington, NC, Julie C. Cline and husband, Patrick, of Greensboro. Also surviving are great-great grandchildren Allie Treece, Olivia and Trista Talley, Nathan and Claudia Diggs, Ryan Buchanan, Chance, Dalton and Leah Cauble, Jayden and Kylee Gilbeau, Garrett and Lauren Cline, Samantha and Sawyer Williams; special nieces: Betty Ann Starnes, Coleen Smith, Linda Barnhill and Grace Phillips all of Monroe, NC; Special sisters-in-Law, Elsie B. Shaver and Maude B. Hill of Salisbury and Belle D. Boger of Mocksville.

Visitation: Powles Funeral Home, 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, and at her daughter's home the remainder of the time.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Reformed Church by Dr. Rev. Johnny Boggs, pastor.

Burial: Will follow in the church cemetery.
