Alice P. Cauble

Alice P. Cauble, 89, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury.

She was born on March 1, 1927 to the late Britt Panther and Pearl Jones Boger in Monroe, NC. She was a 1944 graduate of Boyden High School and a 1945 graduate of Flora McDonald College in Red Springs NC. Alice worked as a Bookkeeper for Rowan Industries.

Alice was a member of St. Luke's Reformed Church, she was a member of the women's group and attended Sunday School when she was able.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning, and was an avid reader. Alice was in charge of the neighborhood memorial and bereavement ministry.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Raymond Cauble, and step-father , Walter R. Boger.

Alice is survived by Two Daughters, Darlene C Thompson and partner Bob Griffin of Salisbury, and Linda Kay Eller and husband Max of Rockwell; Son, Charles R. Cauble Jr.and wife Betty of Salisbury; Four Grandsons, Bradley D. Treece and wife Cindy, Jonathan M. Treece and friend Kayte, Kevin Cauble and wife Michelle, and Stacey Chaffin; Four Granddaughters, Wendy E. Diggs and husband David, Traci Williams and husband Stacy, Christy Gilbeau, and Julie Cline and husband Patrick. Alice is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, 10:00 am - 11:15 am at St. Luke's Reformed Church, Salisbury. The family will be at the home of Alice Cauble the remainder of the time.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016, 11:30 am at the St. Luke's Reformed Church, Salisbury, with Rev. Jon Schell and Rev. Johnny Boggs, officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff, nurses and doctors at Genesis Healthcare.
