Carolyn Lassell Hess

Mrs. Carolyn Lassell Hess, 83, of Faith, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home in Faith, NC.

Mrs. Hess was born February 9, 1934 in Wilmington, DE to the late James and Helen Lassell. She was educated in the Wilmington, DE school system, upon graduation she attended the Philadelphia Modeling and Charm School, modeling for a short time after. Mrs. Hess then went to work as a Stewardess for Eastern Airlines for several years, where she met her husband Lindsay.

Mrs. Hess had a passion for the beach, she loved spending time there with her family; she had an incredible talent for cooking and baking and loved sharing both with her family and friends. Mrs. Hess was affectionately know as "Mama Hess" by those close to her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hess was preceded in death by a baby boy in 1975.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lindsay B. Hess of Faith; three sons, Bryan Keith Hess, Jonathan Gary Hess, and Jaye Lindsay Hess all of Faith; daughter, Jennie Hess Paterno of Salisbury; grandson, Dayton Hess; granddaughter, Landrie Hess; and dear friends and caregivers, Louise Roseberry and Juana Davilla.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Mrs. Hess may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or to Scleroderma Research Foundation.
