Linda Burris Lambert
MT. PLEASANT Linda Kay Burris Lambert, 66, of Short St., Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Lambert was born Jan. 11, 1945 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late James Burris and Willie Mae Hathcock Burris. She attended Miami Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Jacklyn Culp and Anita Smith, and brother, Jim Burris.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Lambert; son, Brent Lambert and his wife, Kim of Mt. Pleasant; daughters Brenda Starr Kimrey and her husband, Dale of Norwood; and Lisa Lambert Arazie of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Doug Burris and Kenneth Burris both of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Betty Harkey of Albemarle; Cornelia "Connie" McCorkle of Concord; Kathleen Clayton; Marlene Love and Shelia Lambert all of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Gordon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The Lambert family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, July 4, at Gordon Funeral Home.
The family would like extend a special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for the care during Linda's declining health, especially Lytricia, Dora, Tabitha, Melissa and Rick Durham.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
