ROCKWELL - Thomas "Tom" Howard Boger, 77, of Rockwell, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at his home.
Mr. Boger was born April 11, 1934, in Rowan County, son of the late Howard and Ruth Hoffner Boger. Educated in the Rowan County School System, Tom retired from Cannon Mills Plant 1 in Kannapolis. He was a life-member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell and loved farming and camping.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Peeler Boger, on Oct. 21, 2001.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Pamela B. Baker of Rockwell; sisters Betty Jo Efird of Rockwell and Peggy Jean Willis of Kannapolis; grandchildren Shaun Rabon and Ashlie Jones; and great-granddaughters Madison Jones and Ella Rabon.
Services: The funeral is Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Bruce Sheeks, Pastor. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation: The family is receiving friends Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Memorials: May be made to Rowan Regional Hospice.
