Faye Carriker Blalock, 76, of Norwood died Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2016 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, November 21, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. David Hatley will officiate and interment will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Faye was born July 21, 1940 in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Homer and Bertha Almond Carriker. She was a retired Store Manager of Quik Chek #20 in Oakboro and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Alexander “Bobby” Blalock of the home; one son Alex Blalock (Paula) of Norwood; one daughter Natalie Blalock Harris of Norwood; brother Troy Lee Carriker (Freda) of Morganton; sister Peggy Carriker Caulder of Norwood; four grandchildren, Holly Litaker (Mike), Andria Harris (Andy), Cale Blalock, and Clifford Blalock (Tracy); two great-grandchildren, Caroline Johnson and Jensen Litaker.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Adam Harris and two sisters, Fran Underwood and Valory Story.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharries.
