Edith Lambert Hathcock
Mrs. Edith Lambert Hathcock, age 81 of Oakboro, N.C. passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Hathcock was born on December 26, 1935 in Stanly County, N.C. to the late Roy Lee Lambert and Katie Geneva Smith Lambert. She attended Stanfield High School and was a retired employee of Photo Corporation of America with 30 years of service. She attended Silver Springs Baptist Church.
She was married to late Curtis Eugene Hathcock of 63 years of marriage preceded her in death March 29, 2016. Also preceding her in death was a son, Capt. Kerry Hathcock in 2010 and a brother Coleman Lambert.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Gene Hathcock and wife Ruth of Midland, NC, a daughter, Kathy Lynn Clontz and husband Dale of Indian Trail, NC, and a sister Ruby Brooks and husband Claude of Stanfield, NC, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
