MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Ronald Claude Kirk, 58, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
He was born April 29, 1954, in Rowan County, to the late Challie Claude and Mary Walton Kirk.
Mr. Kirk was retired from the Davie County School system with over 35 years of service. He had been a physical education teacher, athletic director and the head coach of wrestling and football. Mr. Kirk was one of the most successful middle school wrestling coaches in N.C. history. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald William Kirk.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Gentry Kirk; and three daughters, Lauren, Brettly and Madison Kirk, all of Mocksville.
Service/Visitation: The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12 at Eaton Funeral Service Chapel, Mocksville, with Dr. David Gilbreath officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home.
