Frances Linker Goodman

Frances Linker Goodman, 93 of Rockwell passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC.

She was born April 24, 1924 in , Cabarrus County NC to the late Claude Monroe and Ethel Lavenia Hartsell Linker. Frances attended Kluttz School and worked as a seamstress for Jeanette Maternity. Frances was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, the Missionary Society, the Friendship Ladies Group and the Golden Age Sunday School Class. She was an avid gardener who was said to have a "green thumb" and she enjoyed sewing and quilting. 

Frances is survived by sisters, Lois Misenheimer of Rockwell and Onetia Bruce of Rockwell; sister-in-law, Ruth Goodman Shaver of Richfield; her caretakers, nephews, Gary Goodman and wife Hilda, Darrell Goodman and wife Donna, and niece, Sue Starnes and husband David; nephews, Mike Misenheimer and wife Barbara, Tony Brown and wife Jeanette, Monte Bruce and wife Mary, and Ralph Shaver and wife Paula; nieces, Joyce Smart and husband Paul, Rachel Lapham, Patty Dunn and husband Dowd, Patsy Richmond, Bonnie Marsh and husband Ronnie and Jennifer Farrell; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and her fur baby "Bootsie". 

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Leroy Goodman, sister, Martha Grace Brown, and nephews, Lawrence Bruce and James Michael Goodman.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018, in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC, with Rev. Darrell Norris, officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
