Ernest ‘Junior’ Wyatt
ROCKWELL - Mr. Ernest "Junior" Wyatt, 83, of Rockwell, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
He was born Oct. 18, 1928 in Rowan County and was the son of the late Ernest Walter Wyatt and Beulah File Wyatt. Junior graduated from Rockwell High School in 1945 and married his high school sweetheart, Betty Bost on April 5, 1947. He was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon in the garage at Plant No. 1 in Kannapolis. Junior enjoyed working on the farm and watching sports. He was a faithful member of Organ Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only child, Walter Dean Wyatt, in 1971.
Junior is survived by his wife, Betty Wyatt; sister, Iola Walton of Carthage; brother, John Wyatt of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carolyn and Mark Heath, Emily, Holly, and children.
Funeral Services & Visitation: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Organ Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Carlin Ours, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:45-11 a.m. in the church parlor.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church.
