The funeral will be Thursday for Beulah File Wyatt, 93, Salisbury, who died Tuesday (April 23, 2002) at Genesis Eldercare.

Born Jan. 17, 1909, in Rowan County, Mrs. Wyatt was a daughter of the late Columbus M. and Mary Casper File. She was educated in the Rowan County schools and attended Poole School.

She was a homemaker. A life member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, she was involved with WELCA, Hazel Trexler Sunday School Class, and St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Senior Citizens Club. She was a volunteer with Liberty Volunteer Fire Department, helping to make chicken and dumpling meals. She was also a member of Liberty Home Demonstration Club.

Her husband,Ernest W. Wyatt, died Oct. 21, 1975.

Survivors include sons Ernest W. Wyatt Jr., Rockwell, and John C. Wyatt, Salisbury; daughter Iola Walton, Carthage; brothers O.J. and Clifford File, both of Salisbury; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev.John Sell, interim pastor. Burial, church cemetery.

Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Powles Funeral Home,Rockwell.
