Notes for Ralph Henry Morgan
Ralph Henry Morgan

Ralph Henry Morgan, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his home. He had been in declining health, but death was unexpected.

Ralph was one of 13 children of the late Henry and Fannie Morgan of Richfield, NC. He served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was retired from Carolina Forge, Inc., and Litton Manufacturing. He enjoyed spending time with his friends who would stop and visit him during the many hours he spent sitting in his front yard watching traffic pass by. He would always say that he was "thankful, thankful" for each day that he lived and was happy that he could live on his own and take care of himself.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, who died in 2013. Ralph is survived by his son, Kenneth E. Morgan (Jody), his step-children, Ron Bean (Beth), Denise Sexton, Pam Clark (Barry), Kay Lentz (John) and Mitzi Crane (Jay), as well as two sisters, Pearlie Carver of Albemarle and Betty Morton of Rockwell.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell with Rev. Mike Herring officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard, PO Box 923, Salisbury, NC.

Due to the current pandemic, it is asked that everyone wear a mask out of respect for the family and those attending the service

Powles Staton Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Morgan family.
