SALISBURY - Catherine Miller Hedrick, 92, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 11, 2013, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born June 5, 1921, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Albert Mathias and Sophie Graham Miller. A graduate of China Grove High and Catawba College, Mrs. Hedrick retired from Rowan Savings and Loan.
A life-member of Grace Lutheran Church, she had been the church financial secretary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Calvin Hedrick; an infant sister, Mary Francis Miller; and two brothers, John R. "Jack" Miller and Albert Graham Miller.
Family members left with cherished memories include her stepdaughters, Denise Bates (Ray) and Brenda Bates of Lexington; her brothers, Frank Miller, Joe Miller (Lucille) and Jim Miller (Irene), all of Salisbury; six step-grandchildren; and numerous, much loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to remember and celebrate her life will at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Grace Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerome M. Cloninger, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials: May be made to Grace Lutheran Church, c/o Sophie Miller Endowment Fund or the Roof Fund, 3020 Grace Church Road, Salisbury, NC.
