Mary Elizabeth Hartman Miller
Mary Elizabeth Hartman Miller, 99, of Rockwell, went to her Heavenly Father Friday, January 27, 2023 at Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury, NC.
She was born March 2, 1923 in Rowan County, NC to the late John Lewis Hartman and Anna Heglar Hartman. Mary graduated from Granite Quarry High School Class of 1941. She was a good Christian woman who loved her church and church family where she was the oldest member of St. James Lutheran Church. Mary loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the mountains and the beach and was the best baker.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harry W. Miller; granddaughter, Sherri Elaine Lamb; sisters, Lucille H. Rhinehardt and Edna H. Elium; brothers, Bobby Hartman and Leon Hartman.
Mary is survived by her son, Gene (Martha) Miller of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Elaine (Kenneth Ray) Bradley of Rockwell, NC; two grandsons, Garrett (Heather) Miller of Decatur, GA and Ryan Bradley of Rockwell, NC; granddaughter, Katherine (Cliff) Coley of Charlotte, NC; three great-grandsons, Will Coley of Charlotte, NC, Jacob Coley of Charlotte, NC and Mark (Marah) Lamb of Rockwell, NC; and great-granddaughter, Jenna Lamb and fiancé, Storm Walser of Granite Quarry.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at St, James Lutheran Church, 131 W. Main Street, Rockwell, NC.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in the St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor Oscar Shepherd officiating.
