Thursday, March 17, 2011 — Mr. James Sylvester Frick, age 80, of 40630 Pauls Crossing Road, Richfield, NC died at 8:55 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle, NC.

The family received friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. His funeral was at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Pauls Crossing Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Allen and Rev. Jessie Dennis officiated and burial was in Pauls Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born March 24, 1930 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Arthur C. and Ora Howard Frick.

He was a graduate of Richfield High School, a retired employee of the City of Albemarle and a Master Woodworker. He was also a member of Pauls Crossing Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.

Mr. Frick was married to Jahalia Misenheimer Frick of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Danny Frick and wife Georgia of Mt. Airy, NC, Arthur Frick and wife Dianne of Richfield, NC and Lowell Frick and wife Cathy of Richfield, NC; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

One son, Stanley Frick, preceded him in death in 1984. Three sisters, Pauline Vaccarelli, Hermenia Ford and Gladys Morgan; and six brothers, Curtis Frick, Granville Frick, Wade Frick, George Albert Frick and Ray Frick, also preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, or Gideons International.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
