James Brown Clary

James Brown “Jay” Clary, 66, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home.

Born March 29, 1954 in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Miriam Barringer Clary and James Albert Clary.

Mr. Clary was educated in the Salisbury schools and graduated from Boyden High School, Class of 1972. He attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Central Piedmont Community College, Rowan Cabarrus Community College and Daytona Community College.

He was a video technologist in the medical field.

Mr. Clary was a member of the First United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his cousins, Libby Holman, Tommy Kimball, Kim Barringer, Alan Barringer, Bob Clary and Gene Clary.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Carol Hallman, minister of the First United Church of Christ, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First United Church of Christ, Salisbury, NC.
