Naomi Walton Lingle
Naomi Walton Lingle, 94, of Salisbury, NC passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.
She was born February 5, 1927 in Rowan County, NC to the late Emma Almedia Copley Walton and Adam Lee Walton. Mrs. Lingle was a graduate of Spencer High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her extended family.
Mrs. Lingle was a lifetime member of Oakdale Baptist Church and her greatest joys were working in the church nursery and her mission group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Charles Lingle on November 23, 2007; her brothers Johnny, Oscar, Albert and Jacob Walton: sisters Hazel Virginia Walton, Gladys Walton, Corinna Kearns and Elsie Brown. Surviving is her brother James R. Walton of Chesapeake, VA.
She was blessed to have two daughters Peggy Mills and husband Gary of Spencer, NC and Dana Kimmer and husband Brian of Spencer, NC; She was also blessed to have her grandchildren Mandy Nance (Brad), Ashley Mills, Allie Hall (Geoff), Corey Honeycutt (James) and great-grandchildren: Cameron Nance and Claire Nance, Wrenn Honeycutt, Rowan Honeycutt and Lachlan Hall.
Due to COVID a private service for the family will be held.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Rowan County, 112 W. Innes St., Salisbury, NC.
