Phyllis Jean Brown Vanhoy
Mrs. Phyllis Jean Brown Vanhoy, 81 of Salisbury passed away on March 7, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury.
Mrs. Vanhoy was born May 28, 1936 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Authur Gordon Brown and Mildred Barger Brown Simmerson. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cleveland Vanhoy, sisters Frankie Vanhoy and Judy Medlin.
Mrs. Vanhoy is survived by her son Randy Vanhoy and daughter Dee Ann Thompson both of Salisbury, sister Brenda Kluttz of Rockwell, grandchildren Lyndsay Vanhoy Rhodes of Estero, Florida and Hannah Thompson of Kannapolis and also by great grandchildren Arabella Rhodes and Julliette Rhodes.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church Family Life Center.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12 at 4:00 PM at the Faith Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Randy Drafts. Burial will follow in the Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery.
