Evelyn Burris Shaver, 76, of 28993 A Sweet Home Church Road, Albemarle, died at 7:34 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle.
Her funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Darrell Lee Thompson and Mr. Trent Thompson will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 2 until 2:45 Wednesday afternoon prior to the hour of the service.
Born March 30, 1934, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Grady Vester and Lola Troutman Burris and was a retired employee of E.J. Snyder & Company, Inc. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was married to the late Robert Lee Shaver who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 2010.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Lynn Morris of Norwood, Jeffrey Lee Shaver of Albemarle and Ernest W. Shaver of Locust; three daughters, Tammy S. Thompson, Brenda S. Page and Patricia S. Helms, all of Albemarle; a sister, Caroline Robinson of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
