Evelyn 'Ebb' T. Bame

SALISBURY - Evelyn "Ebb" Trexler Bame, 93, of Salisbury, formerly of Gold Hill, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab of Salisbury.

Ebb was born May 5, 1916, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Robert William Trexler and Mary Frances Miller Trexler.

Ebb was educated in Rowan County schools, was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and WELCA. Ebb retired from Cannon Mills after 39 years of service.

She enjoyed crocheting and gardening very much.

In addition to her parents, Ebb was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wesley Bame, Jr., on Jan. 13, 2010.

Survivors include sisters-in-law Rachel Bame of Lincolnton, Edna Trexler of Gold Hill, Kat Trexler of Rockwell, Mary C. Earnhardt of Charlotte and Mariam Elizabeth Griffin of Mint Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rockwell.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Wednesday, Immanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
