Anneva Frick Ritchie
Mrs. Anneva Frick Ritchie, 92 of Faith passed away April 8, 2015 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Mrs. Ritchie was born February 13, 1923 in Rowan County daughter of the late Jessie Banks Frick and Lizzie Eller Frick.
Mrs. Ritchie was a 1939 graduate of Granite Quarry High School, a Member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Mae Trexler Sunday School Class, and the Ritchie Circle. Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie were the first couple to get married in the new Church. It was not completed so they had to get married in the Church basement.
Mrs. Ritchie loved crafts, cake decorating, knitting, crocheting, going to the beach, and traveling. She also loved cats and being with her grandchildren. She was just a crafty person, and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Fish" Fisher Ritchie, who passed away April 22, 2009, one brother, Aaron Frick, and two sisters, Molene Lyerly and Betty Carter.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Cindy R. Thomas and Husband Rusty of Concord. Grandchildren, Sarah Patrick and husband Jeshua, Erin Williams and husband Wesley, and James Thomas. Great granddaughters, Elizabeth Patrick and Olivia Williams.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Faith Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Bill Ketchie, Interim Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Faith Lutheran Church Family Life Center from 12:30 to 1:45 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Debt Reduction Fund, Faith, NC.
