Betty H. Cauble

Betty Catherine Hoffner Cauble, 85, of Salisbury , passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was the loving wife of Jacob Cauble, Sr., whom she married on May 13, 1950.

Betty was born on July 17, 1931 to the late David Lynn and Clementine Reid Hoffner in Rowan County. She graduated from Rockwell High School and attended Salisbury Business School. She was a homemaker for most of her life, taking great care of her family. She was a proud member of Union Lutheran Church. Betty always had a smile on her face and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She loved everyone, especially her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jacob F. Cauble Sr.; five children: Jake Cauble, Jr. (Bonnie) of Faith, NC, Wayne Cauble (Beverly) of Salisbury, NC, Fred Cauble (Cathy) of Merrells Inlet, NC, Sharon Miller (Patrick) of Salisbury, NC, and Chris Cauble (Kimberly) of Faith, NC; two sisters: Beatrice Snider of Linwood, NC and Virginia Kirk of Salisbury, NC; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell, NC.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 3 pm at Union Lutheran Church in Salisbury, NC with Rev. David Nuottila, Pastor, officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family request memorials in Betty's name be made to Union Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
