SALISBURY - Betty Lou Earnhardt Stoner, 68, of Salisbury, died Dec. 14, 2008, at her daughters residence.

Mrs. Stoner was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Leo Lawson Earnhardt and Ella Ruth Allen Earnhardt. A graduate of Granite Quarry High School, she was employed by Tri-State Hospital Supply as a warehouse selector. Mrs. Stoner was a member of Union Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Teresa Smith; and sisters Mrs. Margaret King, Mrs. Bonnie Louise Earnhardt and Mrs. Sara Ruth Earnhardt.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Ned Stoner of Salisbury; daughters Mrs. Wanda Basinger of Rockwell, Mrs. Bonnie Stoner Livengood of Kannapolis; brothers Mr. Bobby Lee Earnhardt of Salisbury and Mr. Jerry Lambert of Salisbury; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Service: A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Brookhill Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Robert Howard, pastor, Union Lutheran Church.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday night.

Powles Funeral Home is assisting the Stoner family.
