SALISBURY - Margie Robison Shaver, 80, of Salisbury, died Tuesday , Feb. 21, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Shaver was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late William Oscar Robison and Flossie Viola Goodman Robison. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School and worked for Rowan Industries, Ketner Food Centers and McLellan 's Store in Salisbury. She was also a homemaker. A member of Union Lutheran Church, she was active in Sunday School. She was a member of the Women 's Auxiliary and VFW Post 8127.
Her husband, Mr. David Mathew Shaver, whom she married Oct. 28, 1950, survives Mrs. Shaver. Other survivors include son Tony Shaver and wife Nash of Rockwell; daughter Mrs. Bonnie S. Rudisill and husband John of Charlotte; grandchildren Ryan and Drew Shaver and Whitney and Zach Rudisill; and sisters Evelyn Bean of Salisbury and Betty Thomas of Lexington.
Service : The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Floyd Bost, with burial at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation : The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.
Memorials : Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210. Powles Funeral Home is assisting the Shaver family.
