ROCKWELL -- Robert Paul Shue, 77, Rockwell, died Wednesday (Nov. 3, 2004) at Autumn Care, Salisbury.
Born Oct. 1, 1927, in Rowan County, Mr. Shue was a son of the late James Matthew and Lucy Lefler Shue. He was educated in the Rowan County schools and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
A member of Grace Lowerstone United Church of Christ, he retired as a supervisor with Atlantic Oil Service in the recapping department. He was also a farmer.
Survivors include wife Willie Holshouser Shue, whom he married June 23, 1956; sons Tim Shue, Rockwell, and David Shue, Gold Hill; daughter Marlene Mills, Rockwell; sisters Ruby Lingle, Faith, Frances McGovern, Rockwell, and Margaret Brown, Gold Hill; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Grace Lowerstone United Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Gilliam. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 tonight, Powles Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home.
