ROCKWELL - Mrs. Willie Helen Holshouser Shue, 82 of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Shue was born Sept. 5, 1929 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Paul Allison Holshouser and Beulah Misenheimer Holshouser.

Mrs. Shue was a 1948 graduate of Rockwell High School. She was retired from Cannon Mills as a Battery Filler. She was a member of Grace Lower Stone Church and attended Abundant Living Adult Day Care of Salisbury.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Shue, who passed away on Nov. 3, 2004; James Lee Holshouser; David Holshouser; Faye Cooper; and Ruth Coley.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Shue and wife Judy of Rockwell, David Shue and wife Cindy of Rockwell; daughter, Marlene Mills and husband Alan of Rockwell; brother, Glenn Robert Holshouser; sister, Blanche Welch; granddaughters, Jennifer Culberson and husband Jimmy of Liberty, Stephanie Shue and fiance Ricky Ketchie of Rockwell, Allyson Mills of Rockwell; and great-grandsons, Colby Shue, Carson Culberson and Braylen Ketchie.

Service: The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Grace Lower Stone Church conducted by Rev. Spencer Swain, pastor and Rev. Bruce Sheeks. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home on Monday July 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and at the residence the remainder of the time.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to Abundant Living Adult Day Care, Salisbury; or to Grace Lower Stone Church.

The family would like to thank Abundant Living Adult Day Care, Tiffany Eller with Bayada Nursing, caregiver Ann Dockins, Dr. Chris Agner and Dr. Telly Meadows.
