SALISBURY - Mrs. Louise Lona Watkins, 85, of Satellite Beach, Fla., and formerly of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Florida.
Born Jan. 14, 1927, in Rowan County to the late Harvey S. Wyatt and Minnie Arey Wyatt, she attended Rowan County elementary schools and Stanly County High School.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ollie James Watkins, who passed away March 15, 2007; and son Tony Curtis Watkins, who passed Nov. 18, 2000.
Surviving are sons, Roger D. Watkins and Scotty L. Watkins.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) at Summersett Funeral Home.
Service: A funeral service will be held Saturday (Oct. 6) at 2 p.m. at Summersett Memorial Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jerry Wilkes. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Brevard County, 4450 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Suite 250, Melbourne, FL 32934.
