MT. PLEASANT, N.C. Mrs. Alice Ridenhour Linker, 80, formerly of Mt. Pleasant Rd. N., Concord, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks, Salisbury.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by the Revs. Mary Hatley and Faye McRorie; burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.

The Linker family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening (Wednesday, Jan. 23), at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Linker was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Stanly County, daughter of the late Kenneth Ridenhour and Maggie Phillips Ridenhour. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall R. Linker; sons, Buell Ridenhour and Warren Linker; four sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Terrie Powles and husband, Richard, of Salisbury, Joyce Crayton and husband, Rick, and Phyllis Swinson and husband, Perry, of Concord; sister, Pauline Turner, of Albemarle; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks, Virginia Casey Unit, 820 Klumac Rd., Salisbury, NC.

Gordon Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, is serving the family.
