John Remeta

Mr. John Remeta, 89 of Rockwell, N. C. died Saturday, August 28, 2005 at the Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, N. C.

Mr. Remeta was born November 25, 1915 in Hazelton, PA. son of the late George Remata and Anna Katuska Remeta. He was educated in the PA schools and retired after 30 years of service with Dixie Furniture Co. in Lexington, N. C. as a supervisor in the finishing dept. Mr. Remata also was a pipe fitter, building Liberty Ships in Baltimore, MD. during WW II. Mr. Remeta was a member of the Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, and a Veteran of WW II in the Army Air Force.

The Remata Family wants to thank the Wonderful volunteers of Wheels on Meals for the great service they provided their father.

Mr. Remata was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Marie Troutman Remata, who died Jan. 26, 1998.

Three sons, David Remata of Salisbury, NC, Doug Remeta of Spartanburg, SC, and Jim Remeta of Ft. Bragg, CA survive him.

Also surviving, one brother, Emil Remetto, Bel Aire, MD, and two sisters, Ann Williams of OR and Helen Lucci of FL. One grandchild also survives.
