Al graduated from Appalachian State University in 1981 and moved to the Salt Lake City Area in 1984, where he has worked in the hospitality industry over the last 37 years. Al had a great love for the outdoors which is what made the Salt Lake City area a good place to relocate and be with his friends who had become his Salt Lake City family.
Al was the son of the late Alfred “Buddy “ Leonard and Allene Leonard.
Al Is survived by his step-mother Marilyn Leonard of Charleston SC, sisters Elizabeth Lefler (Price) from Mt Ulla, NC, Lynda Sengebusch (Marc) from Columbia, MD, step-sister Charlotte Artus (Alan) from London England, and step-brother Mike Eaton from Mooresville NC.
