Ada Pless Moose

ROCKWELL - Mrs. Ada Pless Moose, 87, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at her daughter's residence in Matthews.

Ada was born March 22, 1924, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Jardis Franklin Pless and Mary Dry Pless. A 1942 graduate of Winecoff School, Ada was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where she was always active in church activities.

She was active in Rockwell Elementary PTA as long as her health permitted. She had worked for Big Star and had retired from A&P Stores in 1975 as a bookkeeper.

She loved sewing, quilting, making Barbie Doll clothes and baking. Ada was a charter member of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Curtis Moose, who passed away on July 6, 2009.

Survivors include daughter Linda Holman of Matthews; two grandchildren, Matthew Elliott Holman and Whitney Charlotte Holman, both of Matthews; and one sister, Ann Shoe of Kannapolis.

Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at St. James Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at St. James Lutheran Church, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Craig Sigmon, pastor. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. James Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Rockwell, NC.
