Helen Virginia Trexler Brown
Helen Virginia Trexler Brown, 96, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Meadows of Rockwell.
Born July 11, 1926 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Irene Misenheimer Trexler and George Calvin Trexler. She was a graduate of Boyden High School and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brown was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir.
She enjoyed baking, making mints, canning and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking Sunday meals for them.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Lee Brown on April 30, 2012; brothers, G.C. Trexler and Carl Kenneth Trexler and sister, Betty Eller.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tim Brown and wife Judy of Faith and Ted Brown and wife Tammy of Salisbury; grandchildren, Lauren Rooney (Peter), Christen Preslar (Matthew), Jordan Brown and Reagan Brown; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Rooney and Julianna Rooney.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, (April 13) at Rowan Memorial Park with Rev. Don R. Safrit officiating.
Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 701 Lafayette Street, Salisbury, NC.
