SALISBURY - Arleene Koontz Morgan, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
She was born July 22, 1928 in Rowan County to the late Addie Trexler Koontz and Jessie Lee Koontz. She was educated in the Rowan County schools, was a homemaker, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Women's Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oscar Morgan; brothers, David Adam Koontz and Tommy Spry.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by son, Robert David "Bob" Morgan and wife Kathy of Davidson; daughter, Judy Morgan Peeler and husband Hughie of Salisbury; brother, Michael Koontz and wife Dale of Spencer; sisters, Ethel Glore and husband Donald of Ga., Mary Tanner of Salisbury, Linda Beck of Woodleaf and Wilma Stallings of Linwood; five grandchildren, Tim Morgan, Kimberly Miller, Kip Peeler, Wesley Goodnight and Courtney Goodnight and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Miller and Katie Peeler.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist with Rev. Gene Sides and Rev. Mike Koontz officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at Lyerly Funeral Home.
Memorials: Emmanuel Baptist Church.
